How to be a lifelong learner

In order to create an engaged team or workforce, you must be willing to become a lifelong learner. You should:

Open your mind

Be open to new ideas and people. It is through new experiences that you build and nurture innovation. Create a diverse team where collaboration is encouraged.


Be willing to listen to your team. Every idea has merit, if nothing else but to teach you what not to do. Don’t assume you already know the answer, but find the value in what is being said.

Be a mentor

Be ready to impart knowledge, wisdom and time into another person. Mentoring is an opportunity to learn about yourself, grow and become a better leader.
